I installed gnome-light-3.10 from gnome-next overlay - so far so good.
But gdm does not present me the select control to chose what session I want to start. At least until gdm-3.8 there was a small arrow and when you press it you was able to chose between kde, gnome, whatever you have on your system.
But not anymore... As far as I understand the control is hidden in 3.10 if there are no relevant entries.
In /etc/X11/Sessions I have:
Code: | costel@mini ~ $ ls -als /etc/X11/Sessions/
total 20
4 drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 dec 16 15:04 .
4 drwxr-xr-x 4 root root 4096 dec 7 21:15 ..
4 -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 29 dec 16 15:04 Enlightenment
4 -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 2391 dec 8 00:46 Gnome
4 -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 2187 dec 7 21:14 Xsession |
Code: | costel@mini ~ $ cat /etc/X11/Sessions/Enlightenment
/usr/bin/enlightenment_start |
Code: | cat /etc/env.d/90xsession
# XSESSION=Gnome
XSESSION=Enlightenment |
Code: | costel@mini ~ $ set | grep XSESSION
XSESSION=Enlightenment |
Of course, I run env-update, even rebooted the machine, but I'm still unable to start enlightenment. Despite XSESSION settings gdm start ONLY gnome.
What I'm doing wrong ? _________________ Sorry for my English. I'm still learning this language. |
