It's Karma. Europe colonized and exploited the 'uncivilized, gibbering, monkey-like yellow man'. Now China is going to put a man the Moon before them.

Don't be fools. They just want to steal your technology and methods.

Also, lol at three years of jerking off followed by only four years to do what is decided upon. You'll probably die of old age before anything comes of this other than China copying terabytes of designs off your computers.

Chinese naval diplomacy. They pull some stunt like that every couple of years. It wasn't really a "narrowly avoided collision"; they were two hundred yards apart. Really, we were being almost as provocative, by having a missile cruiser cover their one, small, partially-functional, second-hand aircraft carrier, which they moved into the area to try and save face after everybody told them to stuff their "aircraft identification zone" up their collective ass.

Hallo, NSA?
In any case, we will cooperate, and most likely far better than with the USA. We should have started that a long time ago.

That is the same nonsense we heard from the USA when Japan made US American cars and other technologies look like traps.

I seriously laugh out loud at little pony's eye rolls in just about every one of her posts. Just like a 13 year old drama queen.

Then I see BoneKrackers.

Also, one must cherish the abject stupidity of pony's stand on governments. She hates the USA for real and perceived faults, yet wants to snuggle up to the one party totalitarians in Asia, who have been hacking into networks since before Obama knew how to power on his Blackberry.

And this is just for you, pony:

You guys first think about stealing technology. That says everything about cooperating with US Americans.

Are you getting a lot of snow, Boney?

I saw your side of the continent was getting hit hard.

As to the OP; congrats to China. Soft landing on another celestial object (esp. one with little or no atmosphere) is not very easy, even though they were able to use the extensive hardware and knowledge base out there from agencies that have been doing it for half a century.

I am looking forward to see the highlight of the ESA Rosetta mission.

I bet Oblabla's son delivers snow to Boney.

I shoveled eight inches this morning, and we've got several more since then. Just a routine snowfall for here. Nice to see it looking like Christmas.

People always overreact during the first couple of snowfalls.

We didn't have to steal it from Germany. It literally ran away.

you are right! It was not stealing. The correct word would be 'abduction' or 'rape'.

Well, von Braun already put man on the moon.
And you know it took him to do it, hence Operation Paperclip
I mean americans may look at their nationalist mythology and recently referenced "exceptionalism" as el Presidente has put it as something positive, but from the outside it looks alarmingly similar to self-fellatio.

Sounds like more tu quoque to me. This has nothing to do with America. Since energyman and you brought America up, I guess you must be the ones doing the fellating.

you started it with 'stealing' of technology by the Chinese.

I just put that into perspective, that the USA and Russland - everybody who ever reached the moon, were only able because they stole from us too.

And then you reacted like a pouting 5 year old.

I didn't start anything. The Chinese are notorious for stealing technology under the guise of cooperation. Half the companies who have gone to do business in China have found themselves competing against a government-protected copier of their product within a couple of years. You're the ones who mentioned America, not me, so I don't see how anybody is engaging in nationalistic autofellatio except you guys.

so are the USA. With the difference that the Chinese do not pretend to be your friends or claim moral high ground.

No, the U.S.A. is not. The U.S.A. pillaged Germany's intellectual capital after World War II; to the victors go the spoils. That's got nothing to do with what we're talking about here. Europe should not spread its butt-cheeks to Chinese turd-burgling just because Europe is sucking hind tit on Space.
