As far as I know, G2M4 is a popular proprietary format for capturing video lectures. Its support has been added to VLC 2.1.0. But after I updated VLC, I still get the same error: Code: | main decoder error: no suitable decoder module for fourcc `G2M4'. VLC probably does not support this sound or video format. |
What should I enable to get G2M4 support? Current USE flags are: X alsa avcodec avformat dvbpsi encode ffmpeg gcrypt mmx ncurses opengl png postproc qt4 sse swscale xcb
media-video/ffmpeg version 1.2.4, USE flags: X aac alsa amr avx bzip2 encode faac frei0r gsm hardcoded-tables iconv jpeg2k mmx mp3 network rtmp schroedinger speex theora vorbis vpx x264 xvid zlib
UPDATE: The solution was to unmask media-video/ffmpeg-2.0.2 and update again. |
