| When I emerge a package and for whatever reason the system stops emerge. Is there a way to resume building that package without starting from the beginning or does emerge always have to start compiling all over again? |

You could do emerge --resume if you figured out why that build stopped...

Not really, since it depends on the build system. Using ccache helps a lot in such cases. |
