|
|
Hi ! I have been struggling to find out how to tune the wine 1.7.1 with the d3d patches, as I wasn't seeing any gain in performance after moving from 1.6
If you take a look at this thread I created on the Wine HQ forums you will see someone is pointing me to use the GL_THREADS_OPTIMIZATION = 1 but that leads to kind of actually disable OpenGL and run with software.
http://forum.winehq.org/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=20062&p=88784#p88784
Is it because to make the nvidia drivers compatible with wine you need the 32 version as that guy is stating ? If so, is it possible to get the 32 bit drivers working on a AMD64 install ? |

Code: | emerge winetricks
winetricks
choose desired Prefix --> OK
Change Settings --> OK
Check glsl=enabled --> OK
Cancel until Exit |
If that doesn't work ABI_X86 must be set to "32 -64" for Wine ONLY _________________ The Birth and Growth of Science is the Death and Atrophy of Art -- Unknown

What do that flag does? I compiled 1.7.1 Wine from Git and patched it with the new D3D patches .... |

In this context it only compiles the 32-bit version. The -64 part means that it skips compiling the 64-bit version of Wine. |
