I don't suppose this is anything, but has anyone else noticed when upgrading from gcc-4.6.3 to gcc-4.7.3 you get this odd error message:
Code:
quicky ~ # gcc-config -l
 [1] powerpc-unknown-linux-gnu-4.6.3 *
 [2] powerpc-unknown-linux-gnu-4.7.3
quicky ~ # gcc-config powerpc-unknown-linux-gnu-4.7.3
 * Switching native-compiler to powerpc-unknown-linux-gnu-4.7.3 ...
gcc: error: unrecognized command line option ‘-fPIC@mstrict-align’

I haven't noticed it showing up again when recompiling libtool, but do wonder what it's all about. I didn't find anything with a (rather quick) google search. I did notice that when compiling libtool--2.4.2:2 with gcc-4.7.3, I get the following odd message:
Code:
checking whether a program can dlopen itself... yes (null)*(null) Unable to trace static ELF: ./conftest: ./conftest
which I've never notice using the old compiler. Something else to fret about? It's probably not too late to switch back to the old compiler if 4.7.3 is not ready for prime time on ppc.
