Can't help you here, installing Gentoo begins with your effort, we are here to help when something goes wrong. Just start reading the Handbook (the link I posted). _________________ My Gentoo installation notes.

However, people tend to use SystemRescueCD instead.
Please have a look at this Blog about installing Gentoo from SysRescCD. KaleiJones wrote: | 2. Both reboot and shutdown -r now should work as expected.
This is just the bash prompt, above which you should see some information.
However, please follow Jaglovers link to the handbook.
Everything Gentoo related starts there. With chapter one. KaleiJones wrote: | 3. Is 3D Desktop the same as Compiz? | Not necessarily. A lot window managers can do 3D these days. You don't need to use compiz at all. KaleiJones wrote: | 4. Is Compiz Fusion safe to use or is there a lot of complaints, bugs, reports and troubleshoot issues? | Compiz is reported to be in a very bad state. However, with tools like x11-misc/compton you can get "3D" to almost any window manager, even if it does not support it natively. KaleiJones wrote: | 5. If you do not do this and think you can skip it because of the forums, you'll gonna have a bad bad time! People here tend to assume you at least read the quick installation guide. _________________ Important German:- "Aha" - German reaction to pretend that you are really interested while giving no f*ck.

Hi KaleiJones, and welcome to gentoo
Message me if you need some details on getting started. I know it can be a difficult task to install Gentoo, but I'll be more than glad to help you get through the process. |

Bro just follow the gentoo HowTo, install Linux and GNU tools then just choose KDE as your destop.
Look through the use flags:
http://www.gentoo.org/dyn/use-index.xml?style=printable
pick what you want to install and what you want NOT installed leave others out that you answer maybe too and run
Code: | emerge -av kde-meta |
3D Desktop is included as standard with the KDE desktop. If you use ATI or Nvidia follow the guides on installing the drivers to enable DRI _________________ A WikI, A collection of mass misinformation based on opinion and manipulation by a deception of freedom.
