With the latest updated a new version of wall was introduced. I use it in a couple of scripts, but the majority of my scripts have issues now.
used to work just fine, but now it doesn't work anymore
Code: | 20:28:27^cr0t@datastorm:~/.sabnzb/scripts > wall | echo foo
foo
wall: cannot get tty name: Inappropriate ioctl for device |
works, however, never comes back to the command line. I tried a couple of things, but I am unable to work around it.
Any idea to get wall to work the way it used to work? _________________ cya |

Perhaps you should use wall correctly, which should work both with the old and new versions. To broadcast a message, write it into the stdin of wall. Your post shows that you redirected the output of wall into an echo foo. |

Code: | 08:07:33^cr0t@datastorm:~/.sabnzb/scripts > wall foo
wall: will not read foo - use stdin.
08:07:34^cr0t@datastorm:~/.sabnzb/scripts > echo foo | wall
Broadcast Message from cr0t@datastorm
(/dev/pts/0) at 8:07 ...
foo
08:08:44^cr0t@datastorm:~/.sabnzb/scripts > wall | echo foo
foo
wall: cannot get tty name: Inappropriate ioctl for device |
