it abort with the error:
/var/tmp/portage/xfree-4.2.0-r12/work/xc/lib/GL/mesa/src/light.o can't find file or directory
I saw light.c been compiling, but i check and light.o is not there ! |

Well you might want to check into this other thread. Other than this I don't have any other good ideas. You might try building it again.

i had compiled xfree for the 4th time and i get always the same error. I did not pay attention to harddisk space all this times, but i think 1.3 Gb free space is enough. I had another 1.3 Gb but in another partition. I will compile the 5th time to care about space. Somebody knows how much space does xfree consumes to compile ? |

Well, i finally had been able to compile xfree and i discover why it's was not compiling, it's a bug, maybe in gcc. Here is the real problem:
If you combine together the flags -march=athlon/athlon-xp with the flag -funroll-loops the file light.c will generete an error about something like not found a register to fill, since the ebuild do not show the errors from gcc, just the errors from their script i can't see whats happen until i manually compile light.c with all combinations flags and discover this bug. Next i remove the flag -funroll-loops from my make.conf and emerge again and it works |
