I have a Kensington Universal Multi-Display Adapter which takes a monitors DVI and connects it to the laptop through the usb. What driver would I enable in the kernel? And is there anything I need to do to the X server config file? |

Mr.google returned stuff like this...
http://how-to.cc/get-a-displaylink-video-adapter-working-with-ubuntu-12-04
Now the kernel also needs support, but I think most recent kernels have the "displaylink" driver in it, just need to enable it:
CONFIG_FB_UDL
CONFIG_DRM_UDL though I don't think there really is direct rendering on this device? But KMS may be needed. _________________ Intel Core i7 2700K/Radeon R7 250/24GB DDR3/256GB SSD
