http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-23859773

Quote:
"Until you have lived the life that we lived as Afro Americans, it's hard to get over when it's constantly in your face," Liz Floyd tells me.

"Even the ones that think they've arrived - you can't arrive when it's constantly in your face, who you are not.

"Athletes make it, they think they've got it and then they find out they're just a black guy with a lot of money and as soon as you get in some problems and trouble everyone desecrates you."

Davina Calahan has just come home after taking a master's degree in Massachusetts, where she says she experienced racism.

"Even with our own people of our own colour it exists," she says.

"They vote for Obama just 'cause he's black and one thing Dr King said - he said, 'I want my children to be judged by the content of their character not the colour of their skin'.

"So even our own people, we judge Obama 'cause he's black and voted for him because he's black, not because of the content of his character."

His dream was a society that look at the content of your character, not the color of your skin. To achieve his dream, end all questions about race on all forms.

Simple.

The left seems to have indoctrinated the premise that it's somehow wrong to ignore the color of someone's skin.

Because they're idiots.

No, they did it because they're genius. They have effectively established a permanent underclass with which they can campaign on. It gets disturbing when you understand that minorities keep voting into it.

people only do what's on forms. there weren't many forms in 1800.

Speaking of which, when is Britain going to get around to having a black King or Queen?

who cares?

I agree, you are ahead of us on that. But race doesn't matter does it?

In defense of Muso, apparently african americans score higher on tests where racial information isn't asked for before the test. I agree with him on the tests, but that isn't going to stop society from being racist.

How can you be agreeing with me by saying "you are ahead of us", if I didn't say or imply anything like it?

I'm just wondering when you're going to have a black King or Queen? I suppose eventually, when the society is 80% Pakistani, one of the Princes or Princesses is going to have to marry one or they'll throw the lot of them out.

Must something be "significant" for it to be observed? What is the significance of your existence? People notice that I look like my father. Should I hate them for that?

There is a quote I saw in another Louis Theroux documentary in Johannesburg. Someone stole something so they beat him with rocks and burned him alive. They said "It's an African solution to an African problem"

Why is it that Africans look down upon Americans of African slave descent?

Or is that just a myth?

And OP, MLK's dream is yet to be a reality ANYWHERE.

I don't know, I've only met a couple of Black Africans, and that would have been the last subject I would want to bring up. With either party.

If you couldn't afford to eat but still kept your principles how would you feel about the blacks in america?

You mean the poor of any color in this country? With their air conditioned home, big screen TV, 4G phone, and a McDonalds, Liquor Store and Crack Dealer all just down on the corner?

I think he meant if you were a starving African of the negroid persuasion, how would you feel about the blacks in America bitching about how unfortunate and persecuted they are.

No. It's not a myth. Also like any stereotype it's totally not universal. I had an eye opening experience years ago when a Nigerian immigrant opened up to me about his hatred of Black-Americans. Made me realize race is more of a cultural phenomenon than it is a physical thing.

For some reason we have a relatively large population of Nigerian immigrants in Delaware. They are typically well educated, hard-working, religious folks when they are fresh off the boat. I get the impression that they are normally in the upper-echelon of society in Nigeria, and they are trying to get away from the instability and corruption of the Nigerian government. The younger ones will quite often assimilate into Black-American culture, but the older ones tend to really hate Black-American culture. They find it crass, loud, lacking morals, and have little tolerance for any sense of entitlement.

Obama's not part of the real African American culture either. He's half African African and half white, and raised in a white home.

That's why creepy cracker Joe Biden said Obama's "the first mainstream African American who is articulate, bright, clean, and nice-looking".

That's why, when Senator Obama was on Fox News telling African Americans they need to get jobs and take responsibility for their children, Jesse Jackson (who makes his living pandering to the African American subculture) said Obama was "talking down to black people" and he wanted to "cut his nuts out".

That's why Pastor Doctor James Manning, leader of a popular Harlem church, said "Obama a long-legged Mac daddy. Obama pimp white women and black women. He got started when his African-in-heat father went a-whoring after a trashy white woman. He was born trash. I said he was born trash."
