Does anyone know if there's an ebuild somewhere for an Eclipse SDK binary build
for 32-bit x86? The only ones I can find are for amd64.

why would you need that? just download it to you home folder and unpack it there

I'd prefer to have it controlled by Portage.

imho modifying the x64 to x32 should be fairly easy, have you taken a look?
