Either your SSD is crap or u have something misconfigured

I have on magnetic Seagate:
([ 0.962611] ata1.00: ATA-8: ST2000VX000-9YW164, CV13, max UDMA/133
[ 0.962691] ata1.00: 3907029168 sectors, multi 0: LBA48 NCQ (depth 31/32), AA
[ 0.963226] ata1.00: configured for UDMA/133 )

hdparm -tT /dev/sda

/dev/sda:
Timing cached reads: 6958 MB in 2.00 seconds = 3480.83 MB/sec
Timing buffered disk reads: 504 MB in 3.01 seconds = 167.45 MB/sec

Well i have old computer and aggressive power saving settings. Anyways its the seek time thats the greatest benefit of ssd. Without SATA ALPM i got a bit better results:

Code:
 Model=OCZ-VERTEX2, FwRev=1.35, SerialNo=OCZ-81Y9R223OTHMQ9O9
 Config={ Fixed }
 RawCHS=16383/16/63, TrkSize=0, SectSize=0, ECCbytes=4
 BuffType=unknown, BuffSize=unknown, MaxMultSect=16, MultSect=16
 CurCHS=16383/16/63, CurSects=16514064, LBA=yes, LBAsects=117231408
 IORDY=on/off, tPIO={min:120,w/IORDY:120}, tDMA={min:120,rec:120}
 PIO modes:  pio0 pio1 pio2 pio3 pio4
 DMA modes:  mdma0 mdma1 mdma2
 UDMA modes: udma0 udma1 udma2 udma3 udma4 udma5 *udma6
 AdvancedPM=no WriteCache=enabled
 Drive conforms to: unknown:  ATA/ATAPI-2,3,4,5,6,7

 * signifies the current active mode

 Timing cached reads:   2350 MB in  2.00 seconds = 1174.91 MB/sec
 Timing buffered disk reads: 562 MB in  3.00 seconds = 187.21 MB/sec
