After an update I saw that my computer wanted me to run "emerge @preserved-rebuild" so I did. Well... no matter how many times I run it, it says that the same packages need rebuilt for libsdl. Here's what it says:
!!! existing preserved libs:
>>> package: media-libs/sdl-image-1.2.12
* - /usr/lib64/libSDL_image-1.2.so.0
* - /usr/lib64/libSDL_image-1.2.so.0.8.4
* used by /usr/games/bin/pouetChess (games-board/pouetchess-0.2.0-r1)
* used by /usr/lib64/mlt/libmltsdl.so (media-libs/mlt-0.9.0)
Use emerge @preserved-rebuild to rebuild packages using these libraries
Is there something I've messed up or missed that will shut this thing up? I have tried to re-emerge libsdl-image and still the same thing. Any help?

You can try remove /usr/lib64/libSDL_image-1.2.so.0 and /usr/lib64/libSDL_image-1.2.so.0.8.4 and then rebuild games-board/pouetchess media-libs/mlt and media-libs/sdl-image:
