He probably had a pack of skittles in his pocket, too. Good thing she didn't have a gun.
Quote:
The brutal beating of a woman inside her northern New Jersey home by a robber has sparked fear in a normally quiet suburban town and a reward for information leading to an arrest after authorities released video of the attack caught on a baby-cam inside the woman's Millburn residence. A $5,000 reward was offered Tuesday by the Essex County Sheriff's Office, which said the attack took place Friday as the woman's 3-year-old child watched from the living room couch. The graphic video shows the robber storm into the living room and then mercilessly punching the mother several times in the face. During the nearly two-minute video, the attacker throws her to the ground where he continues punching and kicks her in the head. He eventually throws her down the basement stairs. He appears to take several items between the beatings.

It's sparked fear, has it? That's exactly how sheep feel when a wolf attacks one of the flock.

Disgusting animal. Probably an Obama voter, as he's trying to redistribute wealth.

There is a reason it should not be. See if you can guess why.

Either the concept of sarcasm is lost on you, or I don't get your joke.

There was no gun involved here? I thought all the spurious "gun murders woman" style topics on here were about blaming the gun and not the person?

So while I get that in those cases there would be a sense of sarcasm in the topics, in this case it would not actually work, as sarcasm or humour.

If you had said, "Man's fists broke in and beat and robbed mother" you could have a point, but in this case, no point.

I don't see it that way. The guy didn't have or need a gun, therefore a gun ban wouldn't have helped..... in other words... "my point".

Oh OK. I concede your thought processes run contrary to mine.

It should have sparked an increase in sales of guns and training.

Police are not a preventative organization.

Indeed. The police are an "after the fact" institution. They have more skill for collecting evidence of a crime than they do for preventing a crime.

OK, so an edit is in order. "They have more skill for collecting evidence of a crime than they do for preventing a crime."

Fixed

I talked to a cop from my city. He basically encouraged me to get a concealed weapons permit. "No sense in waiting until it's too late."

Whatever. I'd probably get a Smith and Wesson .357 Magnum.

No, probably not. I'd get an M&P Shield .40 for that.

Why wouldn't a .357 qualify for concealed carry?

I still want the Kriss Super V. After all, what is the purpose of carrying if not for close quarter combat. Unfortunately, ignorant laws require some asinine barrel length.

A .357 probably would but not one that can fire a magnum. Needs larger frame I think.

They aren't that big. At least not the few I've used. My .44 Magnum wouldn't work well, but that's due to the length of barrel.

Rules must state how big a gun have to be to qualify as concealed carry. I think.

Possibly. I've never heard of such a thing. A friend of mine recently applied for CC, I'll tr to remember to ask him. Of course, that could easily be state / county level oppression.
