Are you installing the Sabayon distro? Do not use the Sabayon overlay unless you know what you're doing, as it is a fork of Gentoo. The Sabayon overlay is used by the Sabayon developers.
ZFS implies that that kernel is looking for a mountpoint containing a ZFS filesystem. Those sources have been patched to work specifically with Sabayon. Info on ZFS can be found at: ZFS - Gentoo Wiki
Try:
Code: | layman -d sabayon
layman -a sunrise
emerge genkernel && emerge gentoo-sources |

I'm using sabayon distro ... and virtualbox mods require me to have the 3.7 sources installed...
So I'm trying to install them.

Moved from Kernel & Hardware to Unsupported Software.
To avoid confusing Gentoo users. Sabayon is not Gentoo. _________________ Regards,

you are on your own, i can give you some pointers.
emerge will not install ur kernel as your virtual box install did not format your vdk disk as zfs. Equo might can overcome this, but if not restart the DVD installer making sure to "Format Entire Disk" before installing... _________________ The Birth and Growth of Science is the Death and Atrophy of Art -- Unknown

* ERROR: Binary /sbin/mount.zfs could not be found
Maybe to install this sources you will only need zfs-tools . |
