I need to boot a Sparc T4 with a live cd. I downloaded the iso and have made progress. At first the display and keyboard would lockout after a bootconsole disabled message appeared but I got around that by using the keep_bootcon kernel parameter. I get further now but the keyboard and display still lockup at: "rtc_sun4V: setting system clock" message. Oddly enough the system does boot (red critical light goes off and the light turns green on the front). Any ideas for additional kernel parameters? |

I don't think this is going to get you very far. |

I'm not sure if it is possible to boot a T4 with a live cd based on silo. The silo documentation (docs/CDROM.HOWTO of silo-1.2.6) states that
Code: | SILO may be used to create a bootable CDROM for sparc. At the moment it will
support booting on sun4c, sun4m, sun4d and sun4u machines only, but sun4
support may come soon. |
Isn't T4 a sun4v machine? |
