Bonjour,

Régulièrement et sans raisons apparente, mon système redémarre brutalement et sans prévenir. Je n'arrive pas à en identifier l'origine.
Est-ce que vous pourriez m'aider à identifier, voire résoudre le problème. C'est arrivé la dernière fois il y a environ 40 minutes, soit vers 11:08 :
J'en ai parlé déjà dans un autre sujet, ayant changé mon système de fichiers sur le disque qui se mettait en erreur, je n'ai plus de problème à ce niveau. Mais les reboots intempestifs continuent.

Salut,

Vérifie ce paramètre de ton kernel.

  • if negative, the kernel will reboot immediately;
  • if positive, the kernel will reboot after the corresponding number of seconds.

When you use the software watchdog, the recommended setting is 60.

Ben mets une valeur non nulle comme indiqué, genre 500 si tu veux avoir le temps de chercher ton smartphone partout chez toi avant de prendre l'écran en photo :P
Ensuite, avec le message d'erreur, tu pourras savoir ce qui cloche.

Ah d'accord. Je pensais que tu t'attendais à ce que j'aie une valeur négative (reboot immediately). Je ne comprends pas bien ce que signifie "the kernel will loop forever"...
Je vais essayer. Ceci dit, c'est très aléatoire. Quand les reboots arrivent, j'ai des écrans noirs de temps en temps, des flashs (bandes noires qui clignotent) régulièrement. Mais en ce moment (sans avoir rien changé), il fonctionne à merveille, deux jours d'affilée sans aucun souci :?

Pour moi, la valeur 0 (will loop forever) signifie que le kernel ne reboot pas, mais affiche une stacktrace dans sa sortie (dmesg).
Oui, je pensais que tu aurais pu avoir une valeur négative.
Sinon, une autre piste : surveille ta température CPU, et vérifie dans ton BIOS que tu n'aies pas un paramètre qui reboot le système automatiquement lorsqu'un certain seuil est atteint.

D'ac merci.
La température CPU, j'y crois peu, j'ai installé un ventirad (pas le Intel d'origine), et depuis, il atteint rarement les 50°C ...

Bonjour,

Le seul cas que j'ai rencontré qui avait fait planter Gentoo c'était au niveau de la température, jamais avant et pourtant j'ai fais un nombre incalculable d'installations...
Pour mon pc de bureau c'était le ventilo de la carte graphique qui ne s'enclenchait pas, je n'avais pas activé lm-sensors, pour le pc de ma compagne c'était la tour qui n'était pas assez ventilée.
En espérant avoir pu t'aider.

My bad, j'ai été bien trop vite.
Exactement.

La dernière fois que j'ai eu à faire çà pour un incident aussi "grave", c'était pour le Zen 1 dont certains modèles défectueux était passé au travers des mailles de la QA, et plantait sous Linux en charge. Ça avait été pris en charge directement par AMD via RMA.

J'ai toujours ces problèmes qui interviennent de manière très aléatoire.
Une impression quand même, il semble que ces reboots interviennent principalement dans le cas d'une consommation de courant brutale sur le réseau de ma maison (par exemple démarrage du compresseur à l'atelier).
Pensez-vous que mon UPS (Eaton EllipseEco 800) puisse avoir un coup dans l'aile (ne fournit pas une tension suffisamment stable quand une chute de tension apparaît sur le réseau) ?

Pas impossible.
Constaté chez le paternel qui vit à la campagne avec un onduleur similaire, des moments pouvant correspondre à des sous-tensions (tout l'éclairage qui se met à avoir du mou) n'étaient pas compensés par l'onduleur (et le PC était impacté). Contrairement à un débranchement de prise électrique murale pour simuler une panne franche de courant.

ANard, des fois j'ai mes ordis qui déconnent, pourrais-tu essayer une technique qui m'aide de temps en temps: débrancher l'alimentation et laisser le bouton d'allumage appuyé pendant minimum 30 secondes ?
Avec de la chance ça pourrait t'aider. :wink:

Ne comprenant pas trop pourquoi faire ça, j'ai été consulter le manuel de l'UPS. Il semble qu'il y ai en effet un paramétrage.
page 9, on peut choisir :
  • mode normal (tension d'entrée entre 184 et 264V)
  • mode étendu bas (tension entre 161 et 264V)
  • mode étendu haut et bas (tension entre 161 et 284V)

J'ai choisi le second, je verrais si ça règle le souci...
