Ebuild for help to configure

Hello,

is it possible to create an ebuild to help me to manage my gentoo server ?

For example, modify several configuration files, create different users I need, emerge different packages I need, etc.

For the config files, what is the best way ? Use epatch ? Use dispatch-conf ? I confess I do not know how to do it.

I'd just use a normal script for that, these jobs are possible to do with an ebuild, but you don't really get any benefits compared to a normal script.
