This seems to be too frequent, most source distros (at least crux and gentoo) download the sources from ftp.easysw.com which is down a lot... In cases where the sources are available from the cups download page itself, why doesn't gentoo link directly? I can write an ebuild to fix this, I just don't like writing ebuilds unless the package just is not there and available. |

The cups ebuilds use the easysw mirrors to download:
Code: | SRC_URI="mirror://easysw/${PN}/${MY_PV}/${MY_P}-source.tar.bz2" |
Which use one of the following:
Code: | $ grep easysw /usr/portage/profiles/thirdpartymirrors
easysw http://ftp.easysw.com/pub http://ftp2.easysw.com/pub http://ftp.funet.fi/pub/mirrors/ftp.easysw.com/pub http://ftp.rz.tu-bs.de/pub/mirror/ftp.easysw.com/ftp/pub |
Although at the moment only the funet.fi one is working for me.
They are also mirrored on Gentoo mirrors. If you're having trouble downloading the sources it suggests your GENTOO_MIRRORS variable in make.conf is not set correctly. _________________ Search | Read | Answer | Report | Strip |
