|
|
Using adbobe flash 11.2.202.280, I get no sound from the chrome or firefox. The flash works, but just no audio. I use USB Alsa. Sound works from my audio player audacious. Just no sound from the flash player in web clients. I couldn't find a bug on this....anyone know what could be the issue with this version of flash? |

what if using googles pepper flash instead (better 64bit support)?
Code: | qlist -Iv chrom
www-client/chromium-27.0.1453.56

Flash uses the PCM named "default", so check that is set up to go to the correct soundcard.
Code: | speaker-test -c 2 -D default -t wav |

ya, speaker test works. it's pretty cool how that lady just keeps on.
but, still no success with adobe flash and chrome/firefox.
i rather try to use the regular flash if possible...the google one sounds like a cool idea though. i want to keep my system without any masked packages.
EDIT: got it! I had to add the user to the group audio. I was running the browser under a different user which I had yet to set to the audio group. |
