Hi i have gentoo installed and xmbc
I can not get sound working through HDMI. on my tv
Im trying lots of diffrent ways and just cant figure it out.
I have alsa and pulsaudio installed
I have also been following this documentation

I have been messing arounf in the pulseaudio config and now im just getting really confused.
If anyone has any clues please help

After playing with configs for hours nothing worked.
I emerged gnome-media went into the sound application in in prefrences on the desktop.
Disabled the internal card and choose one of the 4 hdmi options and it worked.
For some reason inside XBMC the sound output is analog and not HDMI but there is only a HDMI cabled plugged in but its working so I am happy
