|
|
Hi,
With the recent KDE 4.10.1 stabilization, one of the messages I got was to migrate from sqlite to mysql. How do I do this for exisiting users?
Do I just need to replace the driver by QMYSQL in the akonadirc file? Is the database automatically migrated then?
TIA,
Erik |

That worked for me; just commented out QSQLITE3 line and added
in ~/.config/akonadi/akonadiserverrc and restarted; everything
appears to be the same as before _________________ .... there is nothing - absolutely nothing - half so much worth

Editing the config file works fine, just as described above.
Alternatively, you can open the Akonadi settings application from the system tray, and do it there. That's also doing the job.
In either case your database is NOT migrated, because unfortunately that is not possible. That does not matter too much, you are not really losing anything because Akonadi is just a cache. If you are using the IMAP offline mode, you will have to re-download your e-mails from the server though (to have a local offline copy again). |

Starting mysql would also be a good idea, as I discovered _________________ Grumpy old man |
