These glasses are stupid. First, get that out of your system. Next, well why do you care what is next. The glasses are stupid.

I'll reserve judgement until I see what they can do, but I'll be looking for a different brand.

I have no idea... I've read little about them, since they cost $1,500.

I'm not sure how applicable these things would be in daily life, but I can imagine businesses making use of them. I can also imagine it being useful for sports, for yourself and for coaches to review your performance.

Will this let me look through adult womens clothing... oh wait they've already got that at the airport (and coming to a checkpoint near you)?

I'm sure there will be an app for that.

I am sure the ladies wear section of your local department store would let you try on women's clothing, if that's what floats your boat.

I'll take a Microsoft EULA any day over this! This is the worst license ever!

Potentially cool applications, disaster response edition:

-If these things can have facial recognition built in, then it would be an awesome technology to attach to a database of images of potential victims in a disaster. That way the army of EMTs and Firefighters and other responders who are encountering victims can use the database to identify people quickly and family can know the whereabouts of their loved ones and their triage status. (Dead, Immediate (Requires Immediate txt to Medical), Delayed (Can be sent late but needs medical attention), Walking Wounded, Uninjured, Whatever.)

-Add in GPS Navigation and suddenly responders from other areas of the country are able to navigate through streets without getting lost and all hands free

-RSS from Incident Command

-Feedback about location means that if I am somewhere that was hit a certain way, I can be informed to look for specific types of victims.

-Request updated aerial view of location from Satellite/Drone

Google is not going to sell this thingy with their so-called "license" in the EU. If they try, they will fail.

There is a chain of electrical and bedding retailers here called Harvey Norman. They have got in trouble in the past with various strange and illegal contract clauses. One that hasn't been litigated against, but is patently silly, is the one they have on their glossy paper junk mail.

It reads: "This catalogue must be read according to the conditions on http://www.harveynorman.com.au"

Yeah, that has to be a joke. What I think is reasonable, is that in the case of the glasses, they wouldn't have to provide "live" services. But it would seem they can't prevent you from using the hardware. Unless they were to lease it rather than sell it.
