I recently picked up the ebulid for networkmanager that required ppp to be compiled for ipv6:
The following USE changes are necessary to proceed:
#required by net-misc/networkmanager-0.9.6.4[ppp], required by net-misc/networkmanager-openvpn-0.9.6.0, required by @selected, required by @world (argument)
>=net-dialup/ppp-2.4.5-r3 ipv6
I had USE=-ipv6
I suspect I have to pull out -ipv6 or USE=ipv6 for just ppp ... was this intended? _________________ Intel Core i7 2700K/Radeon R7 250/24GB DDR3/256GB SSD

Yeah I think you will have to turn on ipv6 for ppp, but I don't think it's needed globally.
echo net-dialup/ppp ipv6 >> /etc/portage/package.use
I don't know if this is a strong dependency to build network manager or if the packagers got lazy and didn't make a separate use flag on it. Probably best to just turn it on and proceed. |
