I need a file that resides on the double drive. I mounted it and everytime i try to read the file in there, the power shuts off.

to make sure I understand. If the master/slave are connected and powered up there is no problem.
If the master is mounted there is no problem.
If you attempt to access a particular file power goes off?
power really goes off or the screen blanks?
does the double drive have two data connectors and use two slots on the motherboard?
have you got a model number on the double drive?

If master/slave NOT connected, no problem.
If master/save connected AND mounted AND i copy file from master to main drive and try to access the file BIG problem.
Power goes off, like completely OFF
They merge into one cable into the motherboard.
Model number, I'll go check

It's still hanging at "Switching to clocksource tsc" at boot despite making all the changes mentioned before.
I just tried emerging vim and it just powered off. Maybe it was because I took the power cord out and it's out of power? I have no idea. Or maybe I hit something when I was messing around with the drives.

EDIT: It turns out, a cable was touching the fan and preventing it from spinning.
