| Quote: | The duo were discovered on 25 September 2010 by NASA’s Swift space telescope and were initially thought to be a gamma-ray burst. Later that day, Japan’s MAXI telescope on the International Space Station found a bright X-ray source at the same place.
More observations from ground and space telescopes, including XMM-Newton, revealed that the X-rays come from a black hole feeding off material ripped from a tiny companion. |
What a nice story of international cooperation. See what happens when we all work together and people are smart enough not to let the Spaniards build any important parts? (Although now that it's getting to be an old piece of equipment, I understand they're letting the Spaniards download and store the pictures because they need jobs.) _________________ Oldthinkers unbellyfeel INGSOC.

| Sure, cooperation between Brazil, the EU, Japan, Russia, etc. works fine. The only unfair and unreliable partner is the USA. It's the damn truth. |

By the way, those aren't a pair of black holes. They're my balls. _________________ Oldthinkers unbellyfeel INGSOC.

Those were my balls, before the Eschaton got all Immanent.
