Hi all, I'm having the annoying problem described in the title. On 64 bit arch, kernel 3.7.9 causes the computer to hang on a black screen when trying to hibernate (suspend to disk). Conversely, sleep mode (suspend to RAM) works fine. On 32 bit arch, all works properly. I tried bisecting to find the origin of the problem, and it appears that the first offending commit is

The problem persists in the kernel 3.7.10. I opened a bug here (where there is also the emerge --info output, should anyone be interested), but I have not got any reaction yet. While the developers sort it out, do you have any suggestion or workaround? That would be greatly appreciated, as I use the hibernation functionality quite a lot. |
