Display switch dialog appears twice pressing the display key

Hi all.

I've got a strange issue on my Dell laptop (XPS 16): the display switch dialog box appears twice each time I press [what I guess is] the Display special key. I always must close one of the two. Everything just works though but it's a little annoying.

My desktop environment is Xfce 4.10 and there's a shortcut for the XF86Display key that says "xfce4-display-settings --minimal". If I remove that shortcut the display switch dialog no longer appears. If I change the shortcut key to, for example, <Super>+p, the display dialog only appears once, as expected. Has anyone got an idea what causes this?
