|
|
Hi,
I have a custom udev rule to map usb devices when they connect.
Unfortunately something went wrong today and the system can't connect the usb devices correctly.
I noticed the following 3 udevd processes:
Code: |
9342 ? 00:00:00 udevd
9343 ? 00:00:00 udevd
9798 ? 00:00:00 udevd
|
I'm supposing I should find only 1 process, right?
Is it safe for me to kill all udevd processes and start udevd again via /etc/init.d/udevd restart?
I'm not in the situation of rebooting the server.
Thanks,
Vieri

Last time I checked, a couple of months ago, I had 3. Now I only have 1 - dunno what changed
Anyway, I believe that 3 is normal.

Yes.
Edit: Added link to previous Gentoo thread.
