|
|
Just an annoyance, but it's ugly. Whereas the boot sequence used to finish with something like:
This is host.domain
...it now finishes with:
This is host.
domain
...with a bunch of unnecessary blank lines inserted. Any idea where they might be coming from? /etc/issue looks fine, as does /etc/hosts...and I can't remember editing anything in /etc since it used to work properly. It looks to me as though something running in parallel is spewing blank lines onto the console, but it always happens right there between the host and domain names. I may have some init scripts incorrectly assigned (to the wrong runlevels). This is my rc-update: Code: | bootmisc | boot
consolekit | default
devfs | sysinit
dmesg | sysinit
fsck | boot
hostname | boot
hwclock | boot
keymaps | boot
killprocs | shutdown
local | default
localmount | boot
modules | boot
mount-ro | shutdown
mtab | boot
net.eth0 | default
net.lo | boot
netmount | default
procfs | boot
root | boot
savecache | shutdown
swap | boot
swapfiles | boot
sysctl | boot
sysfs | sysinit
termencoding | boot
tmpfiles.setup | boot
udev | sysinit
udev-mount | sysinit
urandom | boot
|

...and the latest update world fixed it. Don't know what caused it, but I don't really care now |
