Hi there,
i have a strange problem. I merely did an fsck to check my partition and now my thunderbird does not start anymore.
Indeed, i don't think it has to do something with the fsck stuff. However, when i put "thunderbird" in the shell and enter, no output is displayed. Nothing happens. I dont know where i could start digging for the error.
here the output:
Code: |
mat@localhost ~ $ /usr/bin/thunderbird
mat@localhost ~ $
|
EDIT: Ok, it seems that /usr/bin/thunderbird is empty. I dont know why but my expectation is that i have to reinstall everything. Maybe there was a corruption or defect on my harddisk !? |

Did you do the fsck with the disk/partition mounted?
BTW /usr/bin/thunderbird is a symlink to /usr/lib/thunderbird/thunderbird.

The same disk can be used for 32 and 64 bit installs.
You can follow the Handbook verbatim.
