In general, legumes and lentils aren't my thing. They usually seem to be uncooked (too crunchy for "al dente") or mushy. Neither is appealing. Black beans seem to be the least objectionable. I've even had a black been quesadilla that is amazingly good. I've had far more that were unpalatable (edible, but wouldn't order them again). I keep searching |
as i said, start with a cuisine that knows what its doing. Indian dhals, channa, red beans, sambars are all tasty. italians have various bean soups. and of course that stuff is all over middle eastern food.
But yeah, you may just have different tastes from me. I LOVE beans. Black bean burgers are yum (although, I have had bad ones). Quesadillas are yum too. My picky daughter loves the black bean burritos I make. of course, beans themselves aren't great, you have to spice them up a bit (for burritos, i fry them with onion, garlic, cumin and coriander seeds) etc. |

it's another thing that's hard about living in the UK. the smaller housing doesn't give you much space to "expand". |

I would figure the space issue would matter more when it was time to go off on your own and contract :D _________________ lolgov. 'cause where we're going, you don't have civil liberties.
