So Google is now a good place for extra chromosome kids to get work. It used to be the wobbly furniture factory, but now it's the biggest non-producer in the world.

free email for everybody
free sync-able storage for everybody
free videos for everybody
free sync-able calendar for everybody
cellphone OS / Nexus phones (I know the phones are contracted out, but they are a google product)
ad services
a pair of google glasses is on my wishlist
...
It seemed like such an odd statement that I thought maybe I misunderstood him.

All those services which you list have been available long before Google discovered them.
One of the things Google managed to do is to provide fascist censors a controllable Usenet access (Google Groups) as substitute for local NNTP (Usenet) servers, which eventually killed most NNTP servers. |

Personally, I think the worst thing that Google ever did was allow themselves to be featured in a Vince Vaughn travesty.
That doesn't make them non-producers; you don't have to like what they produce.
