I have been getting an error message about kdm.pid not being created at bootup. I haven't been able to locate the error message in any log, but it is annoying. I wonder whether anybody has had this problem and been able to correct it.

I am running KDE SC 4.10.00, kernel 3.7.9-gentoo on an AMD 64 machine. I have had the error message for 2-4 KDE updates.
