The behaviour of KDE with discs and usb sticks is a bit a problem. Running 4.9.3.
I have disabled automounting for removable devices. Also the 3 partitions of the hard disc are markes as not to mount. But if I open dolphin the /boot and /swap are listed as "linux filesystem" and I can access them in dolphin. But /boot is set in fstab as "noauto". Why does it list /boot and why does it automount even if marked as "noauto"? Is there a way to prevent this?
How can I tell KDE to mount usb sticks at /mnt instead of "media"? I have no problem that it puts up a notification and let me open with dolphin. But I'd like them to appear at /mnt as intended. _________________ Expert in non-working solutions |

Actual versions of dolphin you can configure to show what you want. I don't know nothing of old Kde versions any more ...
The new place for user mounts is:
/run/media/USER/xxx _________________ fun2gen2 |

Don't really care what the new place is this time, it will change again next version.
I want them to turn up at /mnt. _________________ Expert in non-working solutions |
