Dude has now been arrested for murder. He went home from a park with some 70 year old man (a lawyer), and the man was found at home in his underwear beaten to death.

Maybe he already figured hat the charges will likely stick so now he tries to get them away from 1st degree to something that carries a lesser sentence?
But that's probably giving him to much credit. |

If he could prove it, which I'm assuming he cannot, then I'd be OK with community service.
