Hi,

the following (stable tree x86) perl-modules conflict with their corresponding virtuals: Module-CoreList Perl-OSType JSON-PP ExtUtils-Manifest IPC-Cmd

So, I have either the option to emerge the virtuals or the modules.

Anyone out there, who can confirm this?

Duncan Mac Leod,

Run
Code:
perl-cleaner --reallyall
and follow the instructions at the bottow when it fails.

The new virtuals conflict with the old packages ... or more exactly, the old packages do not satisfy the new virtuals.
When you fix it, you will have the new virtuals and real packages that satisfies the virtuals.

That's not correct, cause I've unmerged all 5 packages including the virtuals and tried to reinstall them.

For example: look at perl-core/Module-CoreList

http://packages.gentoo.org/package/perl-core/Module-CoreList

stable x86 says: 2.840.0

and to:

http://packages.gentoo.org/package/virtual/perl-Module-CoreList

stable x86 says: 2.840.0 AND 3.30.0 ...and THAT'S IMHO the problem!

virtual latest package is: 3.30.0 and latest perl module is: 2.840.0

I haven't checked all the others, but I think we have virtuals in portage, but not the corresponding perl-modules...

Duncan Mac Leod,

Have you done what
Code:
perl-cleaner --reallyall
suggested?
