hi,
after hard problems I've managed to boot a netboot-yeeloong.img image, but the internet-connection didn't worked (I could ping my local machines, but no website). So I've downloaded the stage4-mips-tarball and portage on another machine and then moved it via USB-stick to the mips-machine. after chrooting into the system the internet suddenly worked (with and without cp -L /etc/resolv.conf).
Then I've updated portage and tried to emerge the mips-sources. However the dependency:
Code:
sys-fs/udev-198-r1

failed to emerge.

output of emerge --info '=sys-fs/udev-198-r1':
http://bpaste.net/show/83744

output of emerge -pqv '=sys-fs/udev-198-r1':
http://bpaste.net/show/83745

btw I don't know if it's related to the problem, but before chrooting the command:
Code:
mount --rbind /dev /mnt/gentoo/dev

failed with:
Code:
mount: mounting /dev on /mnt/gentoo/dev/ failed: Invalid argument

and moreover /usr/share/zoneinfo and /etc/timezone are missing.

I'm reading it all along.. :) I think that it's because the whole system isn't up to date. I've experienced it many times that something fails to emerge and after a clean world-update it suddenly works. So I'm running
Code:
emerge --update --deep --newuse --with-bdeps=y --keep-going=y world
since 2 hours and portage wants to install/update 112 packages and I'm installing number 2 (sys-libs/uclibc-0.9.33.2-r3) right now  well I think I just have to be patient...
