What about the poor Pastafarians who have been denied their rights in prison too?
They should feed these guys a straight diet of ham, pork sausage, and bacon (either that or go hungry), and tell them to get over it. _________________ Oldthinkers unbellyfeel INGSOC.

The imprisonment part is supposed to say that. As for the lying, one could take away from it that lying A-OK if it is convenient. I don't think our prison system should stoop to the level of prisoners. |

Shorter sharper sentences with no respect for beliefs. Smaller solitary cells.

It isn't hard. Don't put pork in their food. That is hardly living the high life. |

Problems with this.
1) most prisoners are not multiple murder rapists. A lot of people are in for non violent offences. they aren't saints, but most are hardly scum.
2) these people will eventually be released. Making them hate everything about society can't have any positives.
3) The point of being humane and decent isn't because I want to be besties with them. It is leading by example. Don't be surprised if treating prisoners like animals gets reciprocated when they get released.
4) Sure there is a line to draw when respecting someone else's beliefs, but if your attitude is "fuck 'em all" even if what is requested is easy (it isn't rocket science, don't put pork in the food), I can't see how we can complain when jihadists do the same. |

That's why I said shorter.
As for belief, the can't follow the Quran very well if they are in prison. My main point here is this was a mistake and I would hate any of these criminals to make loads of dosh from the tax payer by litigation. |

Yes, clearly, if we are nice to convicted criminals, they will be become nice people too. This is why we incarcerate them: because it's nice. _________________ Oldthinkers unbellyfeel INGSOC.

I think you're on to something there. Shorter stints of hard labor, for those who are healthy enough, might make sense.
That, and we should expel people from the country. We should be dumping people by the cargo shipload in rubber rafts off the coast of Somalia. _________________ Oldthinkers unbellyfeel INGSOC.

really? is it? with slaughterhouses mixing up all kinds of meats?
but there is an even simpler solution:
if you don't want to eat pork, don't live in a pork eater country (you are not forced to live there - or enter at the first place) or don't commit crimes.
See? Simple. _________________

Actaully, mainstream Islamic teaching permits Muslims to eat haram foods if they must do so to survive.
There is no religious liberty issue in play. |

Still there is a problem in company not delivering what they claimed to deliver. |
