Hey,
Sorry if this is a dumb question , but I am not sure if I install the catalyst drivers before or after I install X11 on my new setup. On Arch, it was after I installed X11, but before I installed xterm, etc. Also, for a desktop AMD64 based system, on which I hope to run xfce4, do I need any other USE flags aside from: "X dri dvd java lm_sensors multilib openal?? opengl?? pulseaudio ruby sound syslog unicode"
Thanks for the help!

Gentoo is about choices.
You have to make up your mind. Feel free to experiment. Keep in mind whatever you do can be undone. I'm running Openbox on my desktop with few addons like tint2 and wbar.
The only person I do make decisions for is my wife. She started with KDE back in 2003 (because I was told it's good for former Windows users). Now she is running Xfce4 because I decided it's best for her. No complaints. _________________ My Gentoo installation notes.
