The 2nd oldest human writing ever found (a pottery shard in Mesopotamia) was a coupon for beer. The only thing older is an Egyptian tablet of some king's braggings. The oldest piece of moral writing, which was a father's advice to his son (a sort of "rules to live by" predating all known religious text) cautions against talking in public after drinking too much beer, along with the usual ten commandments type admonitions. This was also from Mesopotamia. _________________ Oldthinkers unbellyfeel INGSOC.
