Manpages indexing failure

Running mandb on a new install produced about a hundred errors (a fairly small
proportion of the pages indexed), mostly in man3 and mostly due to "link" pages
pointing to the wrong place. I've ended up with a whole bunch of minor corrections,
and I can't see the point in filing trivial bugs on fifty or so packages. Still, it would
be nice to get a more permanent fix - anyone any ideas?
