Hi,

I have weird problem that probably started close to a year ago now.

Whenever I rdesktop into an XP box, the sound plays too fast, and everything sounds like the chipmunks.

It must be a bitrate mismatch, but I don't see anywhere you can set the bitrate on an rdesktop session. This does not happen, when I use mstsc on a windows 7 box (pulling an xp session), and it does not happen when pulling a windows 7 session via rdesktop on my gentoo box. The only time this seems to occur is when I'm pulling an session via rdesktop from a Windows XP box. I have tried it with two XP boxes, and both have the issue.

Anyone know of a way I can force a bitrate, or if there is another fix for this issue? I was shocked that I haven't seen anything about this when "googling" the issue over the past several months.

Thanks!

G

Got it.

I recompiled rdesktop with the ao use flag, and that seems to do the trick!
