KDE 4.10 contains a nepomuk cleaner; it appears on the System applications start menu. I don't remember seeing it before.
It took something like an hout to run on my netbook, getting slower as it worked through its list of cleanups. For example, it took ages to delete duplicate contacts, despite my address book having less then 100 entries. Whatever. AFAIR, its actions include migrating legacy data, and deleting obsolete statements, so a cleanup ought to be beneficial. Maybe it might help with akonadi issues mentioned in comments to the dilfridge blog _________________ Greybeard |

Every time I read about this garbage it makes me pine for the days of KDE 3 where stuff generally worked and was pretty decently coded, and the issues that were there could be worked around. I guess progress is progress but it still shouldn't take a second to prune duplicates from ~100 entries. |

Everything working fine here: KDE4 with different workspaces, KDE4PIM with POP3 and GoogleIMAP. Nepomuk and Akonadi nearly no problems. I really like to write a Keyword in Krunner and it shows all relevant topics. Only two major issues: Somtimes need to hold and restart Akonadi and Google-Calendar doesn't sync reliably. I can live with that.
