Hasn't been discussed here for four years.
I currently use nfsv3 and samba.
What is the consensus here for nfsv4? |

I am using v3 on the router and xtreamer, but only because of the low memory requirements of unfsd (single client). On a larger server v4 is better.
So the answer is 'it depends on what hardware has the server '....
