Hi there,
I am experiencing a strange problem. I try to run emacs with X support on system A. However, my display is redirected to system B using ssh tunneling (I ssh from system B to system A using 'ssh -X' command). Display is set properly to localhost:11.0 (or whatever, depending on the session). When I run other graphical applications on system A (e.g., xterm), I see a graphical window pop up on system B. However, when I run emacs or xemacs, I get a message: "suspended (tty output)", and emacs gets suspended.
I did check that emacs was installed with graphics support I re-emerged emacs and using --verbose option double checked that the flag -X was present during installation.
Any pointers to where I could look? If you don't have a solution, any advice on enabling some kind of tracing in emacs could be very helpful to shed further light on this problem. |

Really USE="-X"? That would disable X support. USE="X" enables it. |
