I doubt it kernel config mistake. Here my configuration related serial and usb ports. If i did modprobe -av option modules were loaded, after mdev -s info /dev/ nothing news happened. There should be /dev/ttyUSB0. On the nokia happened promt about usb connections and it gives chose type of connection to PC. With PC-suit I've no problem to connect, but on linux in doubt.

Please check your kernel configuration, i think USB Modem (CDC ACM or something like this) should do the job. If not, post again. Never say die .
It should show up as ttyACM _________________ i7@3,47GHz, NVidia GTX450, 16GB RAM, Gentoo, 7
Phenom II@3,2GHz, 4GB RAM, Gentoo, XP, 7
Thinkpad T61, Core2Duo@2,2GHz, 2GB RAM, Gentoo, Debian

| I've tryed with acm driver, anyway after mdev -s usb tty's not appears in /dev/ |
