| I think blacks and gays get priority over women now, women actually have to be the best candidate rather than be posted due to positive discrimination. In any case, people will have forgotten by the next election when they can wheel out all the minority and gender friendly employees and put them on the front line. |

Give him credit for not choosing quotas rather than qualifications. Remember, one of the qualifications of being a Democrat is hypocrisy.

Based on how some people react, it seems that it does. I guess in the same way that speed does not kill, it would be hearing or accepting the truth that hurts.

And not a peep from the Democrats, who made a big deal (a really big deal) over Romney using the phrase "binders of women" as he described how, as a governor, he had achieved the highest rate of women in top positions among all the states.
Somebody started the sheep moronically bleating about that, "baaah... baaah.... baaaaaaah!", and it just spreads through the twit-sphere, but about this, not a sound.
To me, that quote is astonishing: "The President does believe that diversity is very important," Carney said, "and he also believes that picking the absolute right person for each job is very important." The obvious implication is that the President believes these are contrasting goals. What it amounts to is, "Yeah, we'd have picked more women but we wanted to pick people who were actually qualified."
If a white male had said that, Democrats would be sputtering primal screams from their balconies, eyes bulging and veins popping out on necks. But since it came from the Ministry of Truth? Not a feather has been ruffled.
Feminists should be outraged.
