hi,
Recently playing with xonotic I realized how surface upon closer inspection are plain flat. No relief whatsoever. Tessellation is supposed to create more realistic surfaces. Are there any linux games that support tessellation with open sauce drivers??
thanks.

Tessellation support is since what, OpenGL 4.0?
There is your answer. Unless I am mistaken Mesa openGL code 3.1 has not even matured yet.
PS
May I ask why lot of your posts end with double '?' ? |

Someone will begin to hack on 4.0 once the work on 3.1 has completed.
I have no idea when it will be. However, wiki states that:
Quote: | Mesa 3D supports OpenGL version 3.1 (depending on the driver),[9] along with some extensions from OpenGL 4. |
I guess these "extensions" will amass over time, and something in shape of openGL 4.0 support will emerge (No pun intended ) |
